Do I need to be a member to use the clubhouse and golf course? We are a public golf facility that is locally owned and operated! Everyone is welcome; our bar and grille is open to both golfers and non-golfers alike.

How far in advance can I make a tee time?

• Tee times may be booked any time, up to 14 days in advance, through our website or by calling the Pro Shop at (734) 994-8580 Ext. 1.
• Senior rates are available for golfers 60 and over, Monday – Friday before 1:00PM. Please call the Pro Shop to receive the Senior rate.
• Groups larger than 12 players, please call the pro shop. A credit card is required to confirm your reservation.

What are your rates? We use a dynamic pricing model for our tee times where pricing fluctuates based on demand; book early to receive the best rate.

What is your tee time cancellation policy? Please cancel any tee time you will not use 24 hours in advance.

Do you issue rainchecks? Yes, rainchecks are calculated by dividing the number of holes played by the green and cart fee paid. Our electronic rainchecks never expire and are connected to your player profile.

Scoring and yardages:  Our golf carts are equipped with a GPS system and USB charging ports. Our free Lake Forest Golf Club App is a great tool to manage your golf experience. Not only can you record your score and upload it to the GHIN handicap system, it keeps track of all your scores at Lake Forest. The LFGC App also provides yardages while you play, and on the range (to the flags). Lastly, you can book your tee times as well as receive app exclusive offers.  The free App may be downloaded here.

I am new to the area, what is the best way to be introduced to the course?  Our hole-by-hole flyovers which include playing tips, https://lakeforestgc.com/course-details/ is a great way to start. We would love to meet you, feel free to stop by the pro shop and introduce yourself. Someone in our management team would be happy to show you around.

Do you have a Practice Facility? You can enjoy the use of our five-acre practice facility which includes a driving range, a short game practice area with chipping green, sand bunker and two practice greens.  A self-serve ball dispenser is in the enclosure on the range. Buckets may also be purchased at the Pro Shop as well as a Range Key to save on range balls.

Can I rent clubs? Yes, clubs are available. Please let us know when you are booking your tee time so that we may have it ready for you.

Do you have pull carts available? Our pull carts are available on a first come first served basis.

Do you have restrooms on the course? There are 3 portable restrooms on the course, near Hole #6 & 7, Hole #12, and Hole #8 & #9.

I AM NEW TO the game of GOLF.  What are the rules and what equipment do I need?  If you have a set of golf clubs, or even some clubs, you are set to start playing golf!  We welcome you to our practice facility and the golf course (we suggest you call for the best time to play if you are new to the game, usually later in the day). Any of our staff is happy to answer any questions you may have about the game or equipment. Be sure to check out our golf instruction page and take advantage of our golf clinics or private instruction.  Most importantly, have fun!

Can I bring my own food or alcoholic beverages to Lake Forest Golf Club? We have a fully licensed restaurant and bar. It is against State Regulations to bring in food or alcoholic Beverages not purchased at Lake Forest.  NO FOOD OR BEVERAGE (ALCOHOL) is to be carried on to Lake Forest Golf Club property.  The Washtenaw County Health Department and Michigan Liquor Control Commission mandate this for everyone’s health and well-being.

Is the restaurant open? Our restaurant is open seasonally for dine-in and take-out, for golfers and the general community. Please stay and eat, while enjoying beautiful views of the golf course with friends and family!

When was Lake Forest Golf Club built? The golf course opened for 18 holes in 2000 and is owned and operated by a local Ann Arbor family. The course winds through 174 acres, we offer five sets of tees, and we are constantly improving our facility to enhance our golfer experience. We welcome your comments!
